Normal Operating Hours:
● Provide comprehensive primary care during standard business hours.
● Oversee 2 experienced Nurse Practitioners.
● Participate in teaching Brown University Medical students.
● Participate in teaching both Family Medicine rural health residents from Lifespan and
Care New England residencies.
● Adhere to all rural health accreditation requirements
○ Review a sample of NP notes on a quarterly basis.
○ Review a sample of charts for quality and efficiency.
○ Develop and review policies and procedures as needed.
After-Hours Coverage:
● Offer timely response to patient telephone calls outside of normal operating hours.
● Provide necessary medical treatment based on patient needs.
● Ensure emergency coverage is maintained 24/7, as part of the BIHS commitment.
Work Schedule:
● Clinic and after hours coverage responsibilities are shared among all providers.
● The CMO is expected to make themselves available to the medical/clinical team and CEO
outside of coverage responsibilities.
● The CMO is expected to be on site to oversee students, residents, and medical
operations outside of coverage responsibilities.
● Compensation is structured based on the provided schedule and responsibilities.
